Italian 26-years-old guitarist Samuele Provenzi began playing at the age of 10. He started learning from Enea Leone at the Accademia “Harmonia” in Gessate and then with Paolo Cherici, Maria Vittoria Jedlowsky, Francesco Biraghi and Fracesca Torelli, with whom he began to play the reinassance lute, while attending at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of music and Liceo Musicale (High School) in Milan. Then, he continued his studies at the Luca Marenzio Conservatory of Brescia graduating from the master’s course with the highest distincion. He was an active participant in the Rome “Civica Scuola delle Arti” and
has received further coching from Carlo Marchione, Judicael Perroy, Lorenzo Micheli, and Marcin Dylla. In 2018 he attended the prestigious masterclass of Oscar Ghiglia, Elena Papandreou and Massimo Lonardi as part of the “Incorntri Chitarristici di Gargnano”.
Since the beginning of his artistic career, Samuele has won more than 10 prizes in national and international competitions including: 1st prize “Fausto Polverini” National Music Performance Competition, 1st prize National Competition of Musical Execution “Riviera Etrusca”, 2nd Prize
International Competition for Young Instrumentalist, “Euritmia, 1st prize National Competition “Villa Oliva”, 1st prize International Competition “Giovani Musicisti” city of Treviso. In 2022 he passes the eliminatory round of the prestigious biennal guitar Competition in Kutnà Hora, Czech Republic.
Samuele regurarly performs as soloist around Italy at festivals and concert seasons such as: Music In the Church at Gravedona, Antica Casa Balsari at Borgo Ticino, Musica In Estate at Acqui terme etc. In 2022 he peroformed for the first time “Frammenti di Ingranggi”, composed by Matteo Rigotti at Foresty International Music Festival.
As a chamber musician, he has played through the NoMus association at the “museo del ‘900” in Milan and since 2022 has been collaborating with flutist Tommaso Simonetta Sandri with whom they have founded a duo focusing on music from the 19th century period using original instruments.
Samuele is now studying for his undergraduate degree with Elena Casoli at the Hockschule der Künste in Bern.
